To Build...

Nosecone:
  1. Shape the nosecone by heating up a utility knife and slicing through the styrofoam.
  2. Be sure the nosecone is the correct size for the body tube
  3. Paint nosecone
  4. Attach nosecone to one end of bungee cord and make sure it is secure using a hot glue gun/duct tape

Body Tube:
  1. Find/ buy a paintroller and strip the foam off creating a smooth tube.
  2. On seperate piece of paper create a design for the rocket and tape onto the tube when complete.
  3. Attach 2 alligned straw segments to the body tube

Fins:
  1. Cut cardboard into 3 triangular shaped fins (Fins must be 1/3 of the rocket's length).
  2. Carve 3 holes into each fin.
  3. Paint fins
  4. Attach fins onto the body tube and be sure they are evenly spaced.

Parachute:
  1. Cut a circlular shape out of a regular plastic bag the size of the rockets length
  2. Cut a smaller hole in the center of the circle.
  3. Attach 8 strings evenly spaced around the circle, and tie them all together
  4. Attach entire parachute to bungee cord close to the nosecone
Engine Tube:
  1. Using a paperclip, pierce a hole through the top end of a dime roller.
  2. Using plyers bend the ends of the paperclip down and tape them so that the engine will not fly off.
  3. Cut 2 circular shapes from a hard foam material so that it will fit snuggly between the dime roller and the body tube.
  4. Glue both circles to dime roller and body tube to secure engine in place.

To Complete:
  1. Put wadding between the engine and parachute
  2. Powder the parachute using baby powder.
  3. Fold the parachute small enough to fit into the tube.
  4. Push in bungee cord and place nosecone on top (making sure it is not loose)
  5. Insert engine into dime roller
  6. Put the fuse into indented part of engine and fold at a 90 degree angle (make sure wires are not crossed)
  7. Secure fuse using a plug
  8. Steps 6-7 must be done directly prior to launch not in advance
  9. Place rocket onto launch pad and launch!
